The Los Angeles Chargers had to have cornerback listed as one of their top positions of need going into the offseason, taking to free agency to sign Kristian Fulton and then doubling up at the position in the fifth round of the draft.
For our final position preview for the Chargers, we take a look at that cornerback spot, where rookie Cam Hart is off to a good start in camp. How much time will he see as a rookie?

This seems like a wide-open position so if someone steps up in camp, it could change this order in a hurry.
Los Angeles Chargers cornerback depth chart
Starters
Asante Samuel Jr., Kristian Fulton, Ja'Sir Taylor
Asante Samuel is one of the best overall players on this team. Ja'Sir Taylor has worked his way into a role as the team's nickelback through consistent play. Fulton is a question mark but he was a second-round pick just four years ago and he is still just 25 years old, so he will get the first crack, but could easily be overtaken.
Second-String
Cam Hart, Deane Leonard, Tarheeb Still
Hart seemed like great value as a fifth-round pick and he is already looking like that. Don't be surprised if he carves out a big role on this defense as a rookie. Tarheeb Still is the other rookie in this group, but he has yet to make the name for himself that Hart has, despite being selected ahead of him.
Others
Thomas Harper, Matt Hankins, Jalyn Phillips, Robert Kennedy
Thomas Harper, Jalyn Phillips, and Robert Kennedy are all part of this year's undrafted free-agent crop. Matt Hankins was an undrafted free agent a year ago but he did not appear in any games.
There is a good group of defensive backs in front of these four players but there is plenty of room for advancement. Each of these guys should be exciting to watch in camp and preseason games and at least one of them, most likely a couple of them, will be added to the practice squad.
