One of the better young wide receivers in the NFL could be on the move and the Los Angeles Chargers make perfect sense as a landing spot. Vinnie Iyer of The Sporting News named the team as one of the five best potential landing spots following news of Brandon Aiyuk formally requesting a trade from the San Francisco 49ers.
Adam Schefter of ESPN has reported that the 49ers have no plans to trade Aiyuk, but that can always be changed if there is an offer that can't be refused.

The Chargers make a lot of sense as a trade partner if a deal to move the disgruntled Aiyuk ever takes place.
Los Angeles Chargers would be a tremendous fit for Brandon Aiyuk
The Chargers lost their top two wide receivers from a season ago, Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, this offseason. Many outlets have attacked the team for not doing enough to shore up the wide receiver position and even if the lack of depth is not as drastic as some seem to believe, there is no argument that Aiyuk would be a massive get for the team.
Still just 26 years old, Aiyuk is coming off of a season in which he caught 75 passes for over 1,300 yards. Justin Herbert would be thrilled to throw to a guy like him if the right deal can be reached.
If the 49ers are saying that they have no intention of dealing Aiyuk, it would likely take a rich return for them to change their minds. However, it is worth it for Joe Hortiz to get on the phone with John Lynch to see if a deal could be made.
