The Los Angeles Chargers had a tremendous showing in the 2024 NFL Draft, coming away with what many feel were several future stars in the league.
The team's first three draft picks — Joe Alt, Ladd McConkey, and Junior Colson — all have a great chance to be starters as rookies. But the team's fourth-round pick, Justin Eboigbe, does too.
Eboigbe was not an exciting pick and of the team's entire rookie class, he may be getting the least amount of fanfare. But considering what is in front of him on the depth chart, he could become a well-known piece of the roster in 2024.
Justin Eboigbe could enter starting lineup in 2024
The middle of the Chargers' defensive front is manned by Poona Ford and Otita Ogbinnia, at least on paper. That is not exactly a lot for a guy like Eboigbe to overcome.
The Alabama product is a strong defensive end who can line up in multiple spots. But as an interior defensive lineman, he offers a good pass-rushing option. He won't be handed the job as a rookie, but he's more than capable of competing for the spot this season, even if it's not in Week 1.

Ford was signed as a free agent during the offseason but he didn't start a single game for the Buffalo Bills last season. As for Ogbinnia, the former fifth-round pick has just three career starts.
With a strong camp and preseason, Eboigbe should find himself in a starting role to begin the season.
