When Jim Harbaugh was hired as the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers, you knew he was going to look to bring in some guys from his days at Michigan. And why not, he won it all with those guys. Now, he has done just that.

In the third round, with the No. 69 overall pick in the draft, the Chargers drafted Michigan linebacker Junior Colson.

Colson is a tackling machine, having racked up nearly 200 total tackles in his last two seasons at Michigan. At the NFL level, particularly playing for his college head coach, he could be the guy calling the plays on defense. Harbaugh loves the kid and he is going to be a great fit in a defense that needed a solid force in the middle. The Chargers may not have been able to find a better one.

These guys liked the pick.

For the Chargers to be able to land Colson at this spot was one of the better values of this entire draft so far. There is good reason to let out a cheer like that one. Great choice.

Grade: A
