The Los Angeles Chargers, despite adding a veteran at cornerback in Kristian Fulton this offseason, needed more help at the position. The team has used its first fifth-round pick to select one in Tarheeb Still out of Maryland.

At 6-foot and around 190 pounds, Still projects best as an inside slot corner at the next level but has the ability to play on the outside. He is an instinctual player with good hands but he lacks the kind of length most teams covet at the position.

He still has enough talent to make the roster as a back-end player or special teams guy to start his career and gives the Chargers solid depth at a position they really needed to find some. That is how most teams would view him, but the Chargers may have found one of those late-round gems.

He could challenge for playing time as a rookie and could easily steal playing time from a guy like Ja'Sir Taylor as the team's primary nickelback.
