Though the Los Angeles Chargers dropped their preseason opener against the Seattle Seahawks, one of the biggest takeaways was the emergence of undrafted free agent Tre'Mon Morris-Brash.
The Chargers have one of the best edge-rushing groups in the league, starting with veteran sack masters Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack. Behind them, the duo of Tuli Tuipolotu and Bud Dupree features a perfect blend of huge potential and proven experience.
The team is looking for one player to round out that group and give it solid depth and Morris-Brash, an undrafted player out of Central Florida is beginning to look like that guy.

Morris-Brash had 26 sacks in college and has looked terrific in training camp thus far. He flashed in the game against Seattle as well. So if he's in, who's out?
Emergence of Tre'Mon Morris-Brash could cost Chris Rumph II his spot
The Chargers drafted Chris Rumph II in the fourth round of the 2021 draft out of Duke. But in three seasons, he has a total of three sacks.
He has never developed into the player the Chargers hoped they were getting and has never really shown any signs of getting there. Morris-Brash seems to be the player with the higher ceiling right now and unless Rumph does something to change that in the next two preseason games, he could easily be looking for a new team.
This will be a key battle to watch over the next two weeks.
