The Los Angeles Chargers have dealt with more injuries than most teams in the NFL thus far in 2024, and in Week 6 against the Denver Broncos, could be down all three of their starting cornerbacks. Even if one or two of them play, injuries to that position are becoming a problem.

Cody Benjamin of CBS Sports recently put together a list of one move each team should make before this year's trade deadline, slated for November 5. He noticed the issue at cornerback for the Chargers and suggested that they should approach the Los Angeles Rams about acquiring veteran Tre'Davious White

White, a former first-round pick of the Buffalo Bills, signed a one-year deal with the Rams this offseason after seven seasons in Buffalo. However, he doesn't seem to be a great fit in his new home. Last week against the Green Bay Packers, the Rams made White a healthy scratch for the game.

That is never a good sign for a veteran player with no injury designation, so it's possible the Rams don't see him as part of their future plans. A new start in the same city could do him some good.

Tre'Davious White had some stellar years in Buffalo

White was considered one of the best corners in the NFL early in his career. He was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2017 and made the Pro Bowl in 2019 and 2020. He was a First Team All-Pro in 2019 and a Second Team All-Pro the following year.

Injuries slowed him down as he tore his ACL in 2021 and tore his Achilles tendon last season. His start in Los Angeles has been slow, but he could add depth to a Chargers roster that is dealing with injuries to Asante Samuel Jr., Kristian Fulton, Ja'Sir Taylor and Deane Leonard at the moment.

Chargers general manager Joe Hortiz has shown that he is not afraid of making a needed deal, as the team traded for Elijah Molden and Taylor Heinicke after wrapping up the preseason.
