For fans of the Los Angeles Chargers, the 2024 season has the makings of being an exciting one. The team has had the talent in recent years, but not the right man steering the ship. After several offseason moves, most notably at the head coach spot, the Bolts now seem to have a clear direction.

Gone are Austin Ekeler and Keenan Allen, but the team has the kind of guys you want at the two most important positions — quarterback and head coach.

The team will still have to get settled in and work on what a completely new coaching staff has for its vision, but Jim Harbaugh has had plenty of success in his coaching career and there is no reason he can't bring that to L.A.

As we look closer at the team's recently released schedule, these three games are intriguing and potentially quite important to the 2024 campaign.

Los Angeles Chargers' most intriguing games in 2024

Week 4 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

This is a great spot for this game. The Chargers get the defending champs at home in the first month of the season.

The Chargers have lost the last five meetings in this series but this should be an early-season barometer to show just how good the Chargers could be this year. A chance to make a statement against Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid would be huge.

Week 9 at Cleveland Browns

The Browns had the league's No. 1 defense in 2023 and this game will take place in November in Ohio, so it could be colder out. So why is this game on the list? Because tough, hard-nosed football in the elements is Harbaugh football and the way he likes to build his teams is perfect for games like this.

Can the Chargers, who play in the sunny (and indoor) confines of California go out and win a game like this one?

Week 12 vs. Baltimore Ravens

This is an obvious entry to the list as it will give us Har-Bowl III, Jim Harbaugh versus his brother, John, who has won both of the prior games, including Super Bowl XLVII.

This time the game will be played in Los Angeles, meaning that the Ravens will have to come way out west for a primetime matchup on Monday Night Football. This will be one of the most intriguing games this year on a national scale, not just for Chargers fans.

Can Jim finally beat his older brother?
