Raiders' Gardner Minshew details exactly what Maxx Crosby said during pep talk image

When it comes to leadership, the Las Vegas Raiders are in good hands with star edge rusher Maxx Crosby, who once again proved how valuable he is on Sunday, both on and off the field.

Not only did Crosby wreck the Baltimore Ravens' offensive game plan in Week 2, he also provided quarterback Gardner Minshew with a pep talk after the veteran signal-caller tossed an interception in the second quarter.

At the time, the Raiders' offense was struggling mightily, so a pick was the last thing the team needed to see. However, Minshew was able to rebound the rest of the way and ultimately led Las Vegas to an upset victory.

Minshew appreciated the pep talk from Crosby, who implored him to turn into the college version of himself. Minshew responded by saying he would "see if I can go whip that up real quick."

“It was awesome, man," Minshew said of the pep talk from Crosby. "He grabbed me and just said ‘Hey, we’ve got your back, dude. We need that Washington State Gardner. We need that. I was like ‘Man, you’re right. Let me see if I can go whip that up real quick.'”

“That dude is a great leader,” Minshew added. “He does it the right way, man, and couldn’t be more grateful to have him on our team.”

Minshew completed 30-of-38 passes for 276 yards and one touchdown to one interception after putting together a sensational second half.

Not only did his clutch performance go a long way toward securing himself as the starter even more, it also no doubt helped earn him more love from Raiders fans.
