The Las Vegas Raiders have gotten nothing but bad news lately when it comes to injuries, as the team has been ravaged by them through four weeks. But the Raiders finally got some good news, because it appears the Raiders will get their best player back in Week 5.
According to The Athletic's Dianna Russini, star edge rusher Maxx Crosby, who is dealing with a high-ankle sprain, is expected to suit up against the Denver Broncos. Crosby only logged a single practice this week, when he put it a limited session on Friday. He's listed as questionable going into Sunday.
Crosby missed a game for the first time in his career in Week 4 against the Cleveland Browns, yet the Raiders were able to win anyway, and the victory came on the strength of their defense, believe it or not.
But the chances of that happening on a consistent basis without Crosby in the lineup are slim. His return is a very welcomed addition for a defense that is already without its other top pass-rusher, Malcolm Koonce, for the rest of the season.
It has been a rough week for the Raiders, to say the least. On top of injuries piling up, the drama surrounding wide receiver Davante Adams' trade request has only brought more negativity.
Despite all that, the Raiders are still 2-2 and a win on Sunday would not only give them a winning record, it would propel them into second place in the AFC West behind the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Raiders had a whopping 16 players listed on their injury report this week. A total of five are questionable and another seven have been ruled out, including multiple starters. Check out the Raiders' game statuses for Week 5 right here.
