Raiders draft Tommy Eichenberg: Best reactions to Round 5 pick image

With the No. 148 overall pick (fifth round) in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders selected linebacker Tommy Eichenberg out of Ohio State.

Linebacker certainly wasn't one of the Raiders' biggest needs, but it was one nonetheless. After all, both of the team's starting linebackers, Divine Deablo and Robert Spillane, are free agents after the 2024 campaign. Adding to that, Las Vegas could use more depth options at the position and Eichenberg can also contribute on special teams..

Here's more on Eichenberg, per Lance Zierlein of NFL.com:

Eichenberg is passionate and tough with the desired mindset of an inside linebacker. While he plays with good physicality at the point of attack, he’s more of a fit-and-fill linebacker than one who will make plays and disrupt what the offense is trying to do in the run game. He’s a straight-line mover lacking ideal bend, speed and agility for open-field tackling and coverage duties. The production looks great but it might not translate into a long-term NFL run.

Now, the best reactions from the Raiders' fifth-round pick:
