As the trade rumors surrounding Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams are in full swing, head coach Antonio Pierce took to the podium on Wednesday for his usual media availability.
Of course, Adams has reportedly requested to be traded, something the Raiders are expected to oblige. If you were hoping for some insight into that from Pierce, you won't get it.
When asked about Adams, Pierce declined to talk about the trade rumors and would only say that the star wide receiver is working his way back from his hamstring injury that kept him out of the Week 4 game.
"Davante is dealing with a hamstring," Pierce said when asked about Adams. "He's rehabbing and the rest of us are focused on Denver."

"Davante is dealing with a hamstring. He's rehabbing and the rest of us are focused on Denver."
Said he expects him in the building to go through that rehab
When it comes to his now infamous social media "like" of a trade rumors post about Adams, Pierce declined to comment on that, saying he's, "just focused on Denver," according to Vic Tafur of The Athletic.
Pierce added that he isn't worried about Adams becoming a distraction and would not say if he's talked to the wide receiver about his trade request.
“Just business as usual, gotta keep rolling," he said. "I mean it’s the NFL, things come up every day. Since I’ve taken over this job there’s been obstacles. So, just another one.”
It's not surprising at all that Pierce isn't diving into the situation with Adams. Head coaches aren't going to go into those topics before a trade is made official. As of now, Adams is a Raider and Pierce has to continue operating as such publicly.
