Las Vegas Raiders' cornerback Jack Jones has had an up-and-down season in 2024, as the veteran has taken a major step back after a solid finish to the 2023 campaign. Through five games, Jones is allowing a 69% completion rate and a 124.5 passer rating when targeted with a 57.2 coverage grade.
Heading into Week 6, Jones and the Raiders are looking to bounce back versus the Pittsburgh Steelers after an abysmal loss to the Denver Broncos last week. Jones was having a decent outing versus Pittsburgh on Sunday until he met Steelers running back Najee Harris one-on-one in the open field. Harris performed a filthy juke move on the Raiders' top cornerback, and Jones didn't know where he was going afterward.

Things didn't end well for Las Vegas after Harris snapped Jones' ankles, as the Raiders committed a roughing the passer on a third and long, and Harris scored a 36-yard rushing touchdown to give the Steelers a 22-7 lead with 4:21 remaining in the third quarter.
The Raiders' defense hasn't been as tenacious and dominant as we thought, and Jack Jones' underwhelming play has been a reason for this. The former Patriot has mostly been a liability in coverage this season and hasn't been much better against the run.
If Las Vegas doesn't turn their season around, don't be shocked if Jones is a trade candidate at the Nov.5 deadline.
