A tumultuous week for the Las Vegas Raiders that was headlined by superstar wide receiver Davante Adams requesting a trade ended in an embarrassing Week 5 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday. The team's passing attack was inept for most of the game, and Adams' absence was evident.
The All-Pro receiver's imminent departure from the Raiders has clouded the team's news cycle this week, and Pro Bowl edge rusher Maxx Crosby was finally asked about Adams' trade request by the media after Las Vegas' loss on Sunday in Denver.
A frustrated Crosby stated that "it is what is" in regard to Adams' trade situation and also added that he's been dealing with in-season drama for the entirety of his career with the Raiders.
“It is what it is. You think I’m not used to this sh– going on?” Crosby said, per Vic Tafur of The Athletic. “It is what it is. I’ve been dealing with it my whole career, so it is what it is."
Crosby also didn't hide his feelings about Adams, stating that he loves Davante and wishes him the best moving forward. Crosby and Adams' close relationship has been well documented since the pair became teammates in 2023.
"Davante is my boy," Crosby added. "I love Davante and he’s going to do what he’s going to do. Praying for him, wish him the best. He’s not healthy right now. He’s got to get healthy, but we’re focused on the Raiders. We’re focused on who’s here now.”
Finally, Crosby closed his statement by noting that the team must focus on winning and getting back on track. The three-time Pro Bowler also said that the 2-3 Raiders have to focus on the players who will be on the roster for the rest of the season.

Overall, frustration is building in Las Vegas due to the drama-filled week that was capped off by a road loss to a division rival. The Raiders will head back home to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 6, hoping to get their record back to 500.
