The Las Vegas Raiders entered the offseason with a big question mark opposite Jack Jones but have yet to make a move that shores up the position for the 2024 campaign.

After a rocky first year for Jakorian Bennett, he is anything but a sure solution to the issue. The Raiders drafted Decamerion Richardson in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, but there's no telling if he'll be ready to step in this year, if ever.

With that in mind, ESPN's Bill Barnwell believes the Raiders should sign veteran cornerback Adoree' Jackson in free agency. Here's what Barnwell said about that:

Adding a veteran cornerback such as Jackson would take some of the pressure off Jones and Jakorian Bennett. We're at the point in the offseason in which players can't realistically expect significant deals, so a one-year contract for modest money should be enough to get Jackson into camp. In a division with Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert, the Raiders can never have too many solid cornerbacks.

While Jackson isn't a lockdown corner by any stretch, he should be better than any of Las Vegas' current options for the No. 2 role.

He's coming off a season in which he surrendered a 65.9% completion rate and 95.5 passer rating. However, in the two years prior he gave up completion rates of 52.1% and 51.7%, and passer ratings of 69.0 and 83.9, respectively.

Even if you think you're getting the 2023 Jackson, he's still better than Bennett, who gave up a completion rate of 68.4% and a passer rating of 102.5 when targeted last season. We can't say for sure if Jackson would be better than Richardson since he hasn't taken a snap, but one would assume he will be.

The biggest concern with Jackson is his injury history. After playing in a full season in each of his first two years in the league, Jackson hasn't done it again since. In the last five years, he's missed five, 13, four, seven and three games.

Even still, Jackson would present a solid, one-year veteran option for the Raiders and he would likely come very cheap at this late stage in free agency. Signing the USC product is something Las Vegas should definitely consider.
