Las Vegas Raiders schedule leaks: Derek Carr game revealed image

The Las Vegas Raiders will meet an old friend during the 2024 campaign when Derek Carr and the New Orleans Saints host the Raiders — and a schedule leak has revealed when that game will occur.

According to John Hendrix of Saints News, Carr and the Saints will host the Raiders in Week 17 on Sunday, Dec. 29, at noon CT on FOX. Just keep in mind that this has not been confirmed by the NFL, so don't write it in pen just yet.

A 2014 second-round pick of the Raiders, Carr spent the first nine years of his career with the team. He had a messy ending in Las Vegas, though, after he was benched at the end of the 2022 campaign. The Raiders released him, paving the way for him to sign with the Saints.

UPDATE: Raiders 2024 schedule officially revealed!

Carr went 9-8 in his first season in New Orleans and tallied 3,878 passing yards and 25 touchdowns to eight interceptions. The Saints ended up missing the playoffs.

The former Raiders signal-caller said earlier this offseason that he "cannot wait" to face his old mates and even joked that he was going to try and bait Las Vegas star pass-rusher Maxx Crosby.

"I am looking forward to it," Carr said. "I cannot wait. And, hopefully, I'm going to try to start a fight with (Crosby) and punch him and then have the ref only see him throw his punch back."
