The Las Vegas Raiders are beginning a new era at the running back position in 2024 after Josh Jacobs left for the Green Bay Packers in free agency. Entering his third season, it'll be Zamir White taking the reins of the backfield.

White had a strong finish to last season after Jacobs missed the final four games. The former fourth-round pick broke the century mark on the ground twice and racked up 397 rushing yards, 60 receiving yards and one touchdown in that span.

Looking ahead to 2024, White should get the majority of touches out of the backfield, even after the addition of Alexander Mattison in free agency. Knowing that, Kay Adams tabbed White as one of her breakout players for this coming season.

"Question marks are on the quarterback position, fine, they have no choice but to lean on the run game," Adams said. "White is going to have a heck of an opportunity.

"Last four weeks of last season, Jacobs was out with quad injury, it was White who averaged 4.67 yards per attempt," she added. "He racked up 99 yards a game during that span, so I like him as a breakout stud."

Hard to argue with that sentiment after how good White looked at the end of 2023, but he's going to need help.

Not only will the Raiders need good run-blocking upfront, they're also going to need a legitimate passing attack. If one of Gardner Minshew or Aidan O'Connell struggles under center, White is going to be facing no shortage of stacked boxes in 2024.
