Since being drafted in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills, former Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Nathan Peterman has had a rough go of it.
On top of simply not having any success in his career overall, Peterman is best known for tossing a whopping five interceptions in a single half against the Los Angeles Chargers in 2017.
That made history, as Peterman was the first quarterback since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger to throw at least five picks in a first half. Peterman's three picks in the first quarter were the most since Geno Smith did it for the New York Jets in 2014.
For whatever reason, the Raiders decided to sign him in 2018 after he was let go by the Bills. Peterman managed to hang around the Raiders for a few seasons, with his stint ending during the 2021 campaign. He ultimately played in just two games and threw three passes.
Peterman has since spent two seasons with the Chicago Bears, but not much changed. He did manage to see more action with the Bears, but none of it proved fruitful. Now, he's with the New Orleans Saints, although his chances of making the roster are slim, to say the least.
As if things couldn't be bad enough for Peterman, he earned a distinction in Madden NFL 25 that no quarterback wants to earn. In the game's initial player ratings ahead of its launch, Peterman was given the lowest mark at his position with a 49.
The three signal-callers immediately above him in the ratings, Dresser Winn (50), Alex McGough (51) and Shane Buechele (52), have never taken a snap in the National Football League, and probably never will.
