No matter how many times he says he doesn't want to be dealt, Las Vegas Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams is the subject of endless trade speculation, which he isn't too happy about.

Adams has said on multiple occasions he doesn't want to be traded, and his agents even released a statement during the offseason adamantly denying that he will be or wants to be dealt.

The star wideout was asked once again on "Up & Adams" with Kay Adams about the possibility that he might want out of Las Vegas at some point, and once again he denied that is the case.

“It’s funny that I have to say it every week for people,” Adams said. “Sometimes you just get to a point where you are secure enough in how you feel and who you are to where you just stop really worrying about what everybody is thinking all the time… At no point have I been voicing ‘I want to do this, or I want to do that.’ I’ve said millions of times if I want to do anything, I’d be gone by now.”

That all might be true, but the Raiders are spiraling toward a situation in which he might prefer to be leaving Las Vegas.

After all, the Raiders look like the same old Raiders after their letdown loss to the Carolina Panthers left them at 1-2. The offense has struggled mightily, and while quarterback play hasn't been the biggest issue, it is certainly a problem.

The Raiders most definitely should hold on to Adams for the time being, as it's very early in the season still, but if things keep going the way they're going and Las Vegas is floundering near the deadline, they absolutely should trade him.

Adams still has plenty left in the tank, but he'll also be 32 in December. If the Raiders are heading toward the rebuild that many are envisioning after a lackluster start to the 2024 season, they need to get something for one of their best players.

At the very least, trading Adams will be on the table next offseason. The veteran is going to want some guaranteed money on the remaining years of his deal and general manager Tom Telesco may have no interest in obliging.
