After no shortage of trade speculation during the offseason, rumors are starting to pick up about Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams, and his own head coach, Antonio Pierce, isn't helping put them to bed. In fact, he's stoking them.
Whether intentionally or not, Pierce liked a post on social media that was a report by Sports Illustrated's Michael Fabiano saying he's hearing Adams may have played his last down in Las Vegas and could be traded soon.
After Pierce's like was discovered and went viral, it was no longer there, but that was far too little, too late, because the internet had already screenshotted it for all the world to see.

While we have yet to hear what Pierce has to say about his like heard 'round the world, Adams reacted to the situation during his weekly appearance on "Up & Adams" with Kay Adams, and his answers were interesting, to say the least.
“I haven’t heard from [Antonio Pierce]. I haven’t talked to him,” Adams said. “I don’t really know exactly what that was about. Obviously social media is a beast, so it’s a lot of people out there that saw it and wondering what’s going on, and people reaching out.”
“Honestly, it’s hard to comment on,” Adams added. “It’s one of those situations where I just keep my head down and keep doing my thing, and let the chips fall where they may. There’s been no communication with anybody from the team since that became thing… There’s always some sort of [trade] drama, but at the end of the day, one-seven doesn’t create any of it.”

When Kay told Davante that she hopes he hears from his head coach on Tuesday, Adams chimed in: "Yeah, I do too."
Adams is currently dealing with a hamstring injury that kept him out of the Week 4 game, and he's reportedly week-to-week as a result. But another thing Fabiano's reported stated was that Adams could have played, which might suggest the Raiders were keeping him out as it looks to trade him.
Adams was on the sideline during the game, and he was very involved in rooting his team on in the 20-16 win over the Cleveland Browns.
Whatever the case may be, Adams' response to Pierce's like is interesting, as he seems to be at least a bit peeved about it, especially since he hasn't heard from Pierce, which is definitely odd.
Further, Adams isn't shooting down the idea that he could be traded soon as he has done in the past, which will only add more fuel to the fire that he may not be long for Las Vegas.
