The Las Vegas Raiders have been bitten by the injury bug over the first four games of the 2024 season, and wide receiver Davante Adams hasn't been immune to it.
Adams suffered a hamstring injury at the tail end of last week's Thursday practice and was ultimately ruled out for the Week 4 game against the Cleveland Browns. It was the first game Adams has missed in his Raiders tenure.
Looking ahead to the Week 5 game against the Denver Broncos, Adams' status remains up in the air. On Monday, head coach Antonio Pierce provided the latest update on the star wide receiver.
Davante Adams injury update
Tuesday update
Another update on Tuesday after Adams sat down with Kay Adams and spoke about his hamstring injury. Adams said he's "not sure yet" in terms of his Week 5 status. Adams adds he doesn't want to force his return in order to avoid a long-term situation.

According to Sports Illustrated's Michael Fabiano, he's hearing that Adams may have played his last snap with the Raiders and could be traded. Also, Fabiano adds that Adams "could have played" in Week 4, which would suggest Adams' injury isn't serious and he has a good shot to play in Week 5.
What team Adams plays for remains to be seen, though.
Monday update
According to Tashan Reed of The Athletic, Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce said Adams' ability to play in Week 5 will depend on his availability in practice during the week.
Not much of an update, but it at least leaves the door open for Adams to play.
#Raiders HC Antonio Pierce said the status of WR Davante Adams (hamstring) and DE Maxx Crosby (ankle) will depend on practice this week. TE Michael Mayer is still dealing with a personal issue.

On Sunday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Adams is week-to-week with his injury, so there's a chance Adams doesn't suit up for a second consecutive contest. Adams hasn't missed two games in a season since 2020 when he was with the Green Bay Packers.
With Adams out, Jakobi Meyers led the way for the Raiders with five catches for 49 yards, and Tre Tucker chipped-in 41 receiving yards, the second-most on the team. We figured Brock Bowers would be more involved, but he only saw three targets, which he turned into just 19 yards.
The Raiders will hit the practice field for the first time this week on Wednesday, and that's when they'll release their first injury report. Any semblance of participation from Adams will be a good sign for his availability.
