The hits just keep on coming as it pertains to the Las Vegas Raiders and injuries, as star defensive tackle Christian Wilkins is out indefinitely with a foot injury.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Wilkins suffered a Jones Fracture that required surgery and he is now out indefinitely. Wilkins will be placed on injured reserve in due time.
The Raiders signed Wilkins to a four-year, $110 million this offseason to beef up the interior of their defense and give star edge rusher Maxx Crosby a running mate. The veteran defensive lineman was fairly quiet over the first two games of 2024 before tallying two sacks the last three games.
This is just the latest injury the Raiders have suffered, and the defensive side of the ball has been hit particularly hard. Edge rusher Malcolm Koonce and safety Marcus Epps are both out for the season, linebacker Divine Deablo has missed multiple games and even Crosby missed the first contest of his career.
Things just continue to go downhill for the Raiders this season. On top of the injuries, Las Vegas is currently in the midst of trying to trade star wide receiver Davante Adams, who requested a trade last week.
