One of the things that separates Las Vegas Raiders first-round pick Brock Bowers from traditional tight ends is his versatility, which has been on full display during organized team activities.

Bowers worked from all over the field during his days at Georgia. On top of typical in-line alignment, Bowers was used out of the slot and out wide with the Bulldogs. He even took some handoffs, tallying 19 carries over three years.

And we're seeing that kind of special versatility early on with the Raiders, as the team has been giving him looks all over the formation, including in the backfield, according to Levi Edwards of Raiders.com.

Brock Bowers could be seen doing a little bit of everything Wednesday morning. The tight end lined up in multiple spots in similar fashion to what he was accustomed to doing at Georgia, showcasing both his pass catching and rushing abilities.

In the clip below, you can see Bowers lining up in the backfield and taking a handoff.

Bowers is an athletic freak, which allows him to impact the game from just about anywhere on the field. And, that kind of versatility will allow the Raiders to get creative in how they deploy Bowers and Michael Mayer in two tight end sets.

The confusion with the Raiders drafting another tight end after taking Mayer in 2023 was certainly understandable at first. But the more we pull back the curtain, the more evident it becomes that he's going to be much more than that.
