Player comps are about as common as one-dollar lottery tickets, and they have the same odds of hitting a jackpot. Most the time they land off the mark but there may finally be the perfect comp for someone on and off the field.
It just so happens that the comp is for the greatest quarterback since Tom Brady, Pat Mahomes.

A post was shared on social media and took off from there of Nebraska’s new freshman quarterback, Dylan Raiola. The name may sound familiar, considering his dad is former NFL offensive lineman Dominic Raiola, and his godfather just so happens to be Matthew Stafford. From there, the NFL ties go further based on his outfit and hair from when he got on campus.
On the field, he wears number 15 and one sleeve on his throwing arm. He thrives throwing off platforms and can make side-arm throws simultaneously.
As we mentioned, he is just a freshman at Nebraska, so expectations will be high, but the Mahomes comp may take things to another level. The former Texas Tech quarterback never won a national championship, so perhaps he could do that for the Cornhuskers, and we can all drop the comparisons? No? Well, still, it was worth a try.
