Travis Etienne Jr. injury: Latest on star Jaguars RB’s status for Week 5 vs. Colts image

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr., who battled through a shoulder injury in last week’s 24-20 loss to the Houston Texans, has been cleared to play in Week 5 against the Indianapolis Colts.

The Jaguars capped Etienne's reps in practice all week. The former first-round pick was seen sporting a red non-contact jersey on Wednesday, but he was able to practice in a limited capacity all three days. He will not carry an injury designation into Sunday's must-win home game.

Etienne’s production has been down this season as Jacksonville’s offense has struggled overall. He had a rare lost fumble that crushed the team’s chances of a win against the Miami Dolphins in Week 1. He’s also barely outgained backup Tank Bigsby on the ground through four games, despite handling more than twice the carries.

Those numbers, paired with Jacksonville’s 0-4 start, has led to chatter of Etienne landing on the trade block this season if things don’t improve soon.

Bigsby, who dealt with his own shoulder injury in practice this week, avoided an injury designation for the Colts game himself, meaning he's good to go as Jacksonville's No. 2 running back on Sunday.
