Former Indianapolis Colts cornerback Vontae Davis was found dead at the age of 35 on Monday morning at his grandmother's home in Miami, FL.

Davis spent 10 seasons in the NFL and entered the league as the No. 25 overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. He was traded during training camp to the Indianapolis Colts ahead of the 2012 season, and that's where he spent the majority of his career.

Davis wound up earning two Pro-Bowl selections in 2014 and 2015. The former may have been the best season a cornerback has put together. At least in the eyes of Pro Football Focus, it certainly was.

Not only did Davis record the highest grade for a cornerback during the PFF era, his coverage grade was tied for the second-best, and his run defense grade was tied for the sixth-best. In 15 games (all starts), Davis recorded four interceptions, 18 passes defensed and two forced fumbles.

Davis truly put together arguably the most complete season for a cornerback this decade.

 Rest in peace, Vontae.
