The Indianapolis Colts brought in a crop of seven undrafted free-agent rookies ahead of minicamp this weekend, adding more competition to the roster.
Though there aren't many spots on the roster open for an undrafted rookie to make it, there's always a chance one of them could grab a role.

Unfortunately, we couldn't locate a scouting report for Pennix or Young so we listed their athletic measurements and testing.
With rookie minicamp behind us, here's a quick look at scouting reports for each of the Colts undrafted free agents:
QB Kedon Slovis, BYU
Five-year starter with experience at three different schools. Slovis was the talk of college football after completing 72 percent of his passes with 30 touchdowns and 9 interceptions as a freshman in 2019. Since that time, his overall play and production have declined. He has good size and throws with decent timing but doesn’t have enough arm strength to make pro throws into tight windows on a consistent basis. He struggles with deep-ball accuracy and occasionally puts throws up for grabs when he’s under pressure. Slovis will likely face an uphill battle to make a team.
QB Jason Bean, Kansas
Ian Cummings, Pro Football Network
Jason Bean grades out as an early-to-mid Day 3 prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft on my board. He’s one of the most compelling depth prospects in the 2024 class, and there’s a reasonable avenue for him to be a quality QB3 and backup candidate early in his NFL career.
K Spencer Shrader, Notre Dame
Mike Berardino, South Bend Tribune
Blessed with one of the strongest right legs at the college level, the former international soccer hopeful struggled at times with consistency in his only year at Notre Dame. Shrader missed four of 12 attempts from inside the 50 as the Irish changed holders at his request after four games. He dropped from fourth (80.65%) to 26th (65.52%) in touchback rate at the FBS level, in part because of Notre Dame’s directional kickoff coverage approach. A true Renaissance kicker, Shrader dabbles in Austrian economics, real estate investment and nonprofit initiatives.
WR Xavier White, Texas Tech
Intelligent, tough player who is an asset as a blocker and whose above-average contact balance enables him to pick up YAC. Lack of quality play speed prevents him from separating against off-man and possessing a quick release off the LOS.
RB Trent Pennix, N.C. State

- Vertical jump: 36.5 inches
- Broad jump: 10-foot-2-inches
OL Dalton Tucker, Marshall
Under-the-radar prospect with a prototypical NFL body type. Tucker can operate in zone, power and gap schemes. He’s quick and athletic as a pulling guard with a desire to crunch targets on the move. He doesn’t play snatch-and-run football as a drive blocker, so his sustain is average. He has the foot quickness to mirror rushers, but his tendency to lunge and play with his weight forward can cause issues in protection and off the snap as a run blocker against slanting fronts. Tucker’s traits and playing demeanor should make him an NFL backup with upside.
LB Craig Young, Kansas
