The Indianapolis Colts have had one of the most up-and-down seasons of any NFL team so far in 2024.
Things got off to a poor start with back-to-back losses in the first two weeks of the season, but the Colts seemed to have turned things around with consecutive wins in Weeks 3 and 4.
Last week, Indianapolis continued its 10-year road losing streak against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and now the Colts sit with a 2-3 record heading into Week 6.
On the other hand, the Tennessee Titans’ 2024 campaign has been mostly negative. The Titans may have defeated the Miami Dolphins in their most recent game on Monday Night Football in Week 4, but the Dolphins look like one of the league’s worst teams without starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
In the weeks preceding Tennessee’s victory, Nashville’s finest lost the first three games of the season. Sunday will be the Titans first AFC South matchup of 2024, and they’ll have home field advantage.
That must be why BetMGM currently lists Tennessee as 2.5-point favorites for this weekend’s Colts vs. Titans game, with the over/under set at just 43 points.
Neither squad has a particularly fiery offense, especially when Indianapolis is without starting running back Jonathan Taylor for the second week in a row.
Despite listing the Titans as favorites, BetMGM’s winning team model predicts the Colts will have a 59% chance to secure victory "based on game simulations, player injuries, offensive & defensive matchups and recent game results."
Additionally, that same model predicts Indianapolis to cover the spread with 58% confidence.
Over the last four seasons, the Titans have won six of their 10 games against the Colts, but Sunday will be the first time Levis and Anthony Richardson face off head-to-head.
