The Indianapolis Colts are getting a closer look at some free agents during minicamp, hosting six players on a tryout basis.

According to Joel A. Erickson of the Indianapolis Star, five of the players trying out at minicamp are undrafted rookie free agents. The other player is a veteran safety.

Here are the players working out at Colts minicamp on a tryout basis:

  • TE Mason Fairchild, Kansas
  • WR Kaylin Horton, North Texas
  • DB Clay Fields, Chattanooga
  • S Devlin Kirklin, New Mexico State
  • S Derek Slywka, Ithaca
  • S Tyreque Jones

Jones recently signed a reserve/future contract with the Las Vegas Raiders this offseason but was waived at the end of April following the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Colts roster is at capacity, and there are a handful of other undrafted free agents trying to make the roster so it will be interesting to see if any of these players impress the Colts enough to earn a contract.
