The Indianapolis Colts (0-2) are still searching for their first win of the season as they prepare to host the Chicago Bears (1-1) at Lucas Oil Stadium in Week 3.

The injury bug has already made its way into the locker room. The Colts will be without star defensive tackle DeForest Buckner for at least four games after he was placed on the Reserve/Injured list.

He avoided what could have been a major ankle injury in Week 2, but it was significant enough to keep him on the shelf for at least a month.

While the Colts should get some offensive reinforcements, their kicker is now dealing with another injury in what has become a constant issue since the preseason.

Ahead of the Week 3 matchup, Sporting News will have the latest updates on the injury report for the Colts throughout the week.

Indianapolis Colts injury report Week 3

Did Not Practice

Wednesday, Sept. 18: K Matt Gay (quadriceps), DE Laiatu Latu (hip)

Thursday, Sept. 19: DE Laiatu Latu (hip)

Latu suffered a hip injury during the Week 2 loss against the Green Bay Packers and while he avoided a major injury, his status for Sunday is currently up in the air. After not practicing Wednesday or Thursday, it seems like the Colts will be without their top rookie unless he surprisingly practices Friday.

Full Participant

Wednesday, Sept. 18: S Julian Blackmon (shoulder), WR Josh Downs (ankle), CB Kenny Moore II (thumb), S Rodney Thomas II (shoulder)

Thursday, Sept. 19: S Julian Blackmon (shoulder), WR Josh Downs (ankle), CB Kenny Moore II (thumb), S Rodney Thomas II (shoulder), K Matt Gay (quad)

Barring a setback, the Colts should get Blackmon back after missing Week 2. Meanwhile, Downs appears ready to make his season debut after missing the preseason and the first two weeks due to an ankle sprain. Moore and Thomas were new additions to the injury report, but they should be expected to play, barring setbacks. After not practicing Wednesday, Gay returned to practice in full so he is trending toward playing.
