Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love injured his knee in the team's week one matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Initial reports were that Love would miss multiple weeks, but Love surprisingly returned to practice on September 18, according to USA Today's Ryan Wood.

"Jordan Love practicing for first time since spraining his MCL in opener against Eagles. An awfully good sign for QB1’s availability this week in Tennessee," wrote Wood on X.

Although initial reports suggested a longer absence for the quarterback, Matt LaFleur never ruled him out to start against the Indianapolis Colts while he missed practices. Last Wednesday, he said the door for Love to play was open.

"I'd say (the door) is pretty open," LaFleur told reporters. "He's doing a nice job. He's spending a lot of time in the training room."

The Packers seem to have gotten lucky with Love's injury, avoiding a more significant knee injury.

"We got lucky that it wasn't more serious," LaFleur said. "Certainly, the injury looked pretty gruesome on TV, and in person, it was a scary moment for us. I'd say it's more day-to-day than anything."

Malik Willis started for the Packers in Love's absence against the Colts. The Packers rushed for 261 yards, including 41 from Willis. He also went 12 of 14 passing for 122 yards and a touchdown. Should Love miss this week, the Packers will call on Willis again as they face his former team, the Tennessee Titans.
