The Green Bay Packers currently are 2-1 on the young season, but it has been anything but easy.
Green Bay currently is in third place in the NFC North despite having an impressive 2-1 record. The Packers lost Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil but have won each of the last two games.
The Packers lost more than just a game in Week 1. Packers quarterback Jordan Love went down with a knee injury just before the contest game to an end. He has missed the team's last two games, but it sounds like he will be back in the near future.
Love returned to practice and was questionable for the Week 3 clash but was unable to go. It's unclear if he will be able to take the field in Week 4, but head coach Matt LaFleur said that he is "making progress," as transcribed by Pro Football Talk's Josh Alper.
"Packers quarterback Jordan Love’s practice participation remained the same on Wednesday, but head coach Matt LaFleur said that his condition has changed," Alper said. Love returned to practice in a limited fashion last week, and LaFleur said at his Wednesday press conference that Love remained in that category to kick off this week.
"Love has missed the last two games with a knee injury, but LaFleur said he is trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday’s game against the (Minnesota Vikings). 'I think he’s making progress,' LaFleur said."
This isn't a guarantee that Love will return to the field in Week 4 action, but it certainly is a good sign that he is getting close.
