One former member of the Green Bay Packers is looking for his next opportunity and could find it soon.
Former Packers superstar David Bakhtiari has dealt with a plethora of injuries over the last few seasons but seems like he could be ready to go in 2024 and one team that was mentioned as an option for him in free agency is the Kansas City Chiefs by Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox.
"A two-time first-team All-Pro, offensive tackle David Bakhtiari was once among the best players at his position," Knox said. "However, injuries have limited the 32-year-old to only 13 games over the past three seasons. However, Bakhtiari is hoping to return to his pre-injury form after undergoing a procedure on his injured knee in November...
"Because Bakhtiari does have to prove himself again, he could become a massive free-agent bargain...The Kansas City Chiefs should also be interested. Their Super Bowl window is wide open, but the Chiefs do have questions at tackle after not re-signing Donovan Smith this offseason. Potential Suitors: Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs"
Bakhtiari was great for the Packers and developed into a true star, but Green Bay doesn't seem interested in bringing him back to town and it would be shocking if someone else didn't in the near future.
Injuries have derailed his career, but it seems like he will be able to get back on the field in 2024 and he certainly can still help a team out.
