After the "reporting as eligible" debacle from the 2023 matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions, the Lions had a little fun trolling the Cowboys on multiple occasions during their Week 6 blowout victory.
First, the Lions had Skipper report as eligible on the first offensive play of the game, then after the game was well in hand in the fourth quarter with the Lions up 47-9, Detroit sent Skipper out wide as a receiver.
Backup quarterback Hendon Hooker, who relieved starter Jared Goff in garbage time, was clearly looking to get the ball to the offensive line, but unfortunately he was sacked.
Skipper hilariously tried to sell a go route before planting and turning back to wait for the football that never came. Check out the funny video below.
The score is 47-9. The #Lions are now sending OT Dan Skipper out wide and making him run a route (wait for the replay, it's even better).

But those weren't the only instances of the Lions referencing the 2023 controversy. On a touchdown run that made the game 27-3, both Skipper and fellow offensive lineman Taylor Decker both reported as eligible on the play.
While the Cowboys might not like it, you have to love the sense of humor head coach Dan Campbell and the Lions have. Even in what was a terrible situation that led to a loss for the team last season, Detroit is able to have fun with it in retrospect.
Of course, it was easy to have fun on Sunday. The Lions absolutely dominated Dallas the entire game en route to a 47-9 victory. Detroit will have a massively important divisional matchup against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 7 that will determine which team sits in first place.
