The Detroit Lions' offense had its best performance of the 2024 campaign in Week 4 against the Seattle Seahawks, and wide receiver Jameson Williams made a big contribution to the impressive showing.
The Lions' offense had been inconsistent over the first three weeks, and a big reason for that was the play of quarterback Jared Goff, who was up-and-down to begin the season.
But all that changed on Monday night, when Goff and the Lions' offense went off, scoring 42 points en route to exercising their demons against a Seahawks team that had beaten Detroit in six straight meetings. The 42 points were one less than the Seahawks had given up in the previous three contests combined.
After being quiet for most of the evening, Williams exploded in the third quarter with a 70-yard touchdown catch that once again displayed his electric speed. But before the play even happened, Williams predicted he was taking it to the house.

What's hilarious about that play is that Williams was high-stepping from 25 yards out, yet the Seahawks still couldn't catch him.
The Alabama product is off to a sensational start to a season in which many pegged him as a breakout candidate. Williams leads the Lions in receiving yards with 289, which is 37 more than Amon-Ra St. Brown.
Making that more impressive is the fact that Williams has 14 less catches. The 23-year-old now has two touchdown catches of 50-plus yards, and a total of five receptions of 20-plus yards, including three of 50 or more.
Williams will look to keep the good times rolling when the Lions return from their bye in Week 6 to take on the Dallas Cowboys.
