Former Detroit Lions and current Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs has been arrested for a second time this offseason after getting into legal trouble last month.

According to Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's office records, Buggs was arrested on Sunday morning on a domestic violence/burglary charge. He was later released on $5,000 bond. The Chiefs did not immediately comment on the arrest.

Buggs' arrest comes just weeks after he turned himself in on May 30 and was charged with two misdemeanor counts of second-degree animal cruelty, also in Alabama. He was accused of neglecting two dogs, one of which had to be euthanized. Buggs' attorney has since denied wrongdoing in that case.

A former sixth-round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2019, Buggs spent three years with the Steelers before landing with the Lions in 2022. He appeared in 27 games (16 starts) over two seasons in Detroit.

Buggs was signed to the Chiefs' practice squad late last season before being brought back by Kansas City with a futures contract this offseason.
