The Detroit Lions were just 30 minutes from reaching their first Super Bowl last season before their hopes were dashed in a second-half comeback pulled off by the San Francisco 49ers, who erased a 24-7 Lions lead to ultimately win, 34-31.

Fresh off one of the best seasons in franchise history, the Lions will obviously be looking to take that next step to the Super Bowl, which is exactly what owner Sheila Ford Hamp has her sights set on ahead of the 2024 campaign.

"As coach Campbell said at the end of last season, that was phase one," Ford Hamp said during the team's uniform unveiling, per Sports Illustrated's John Maakaron. "The 2024 season is phase two. One of the goals for the 2024 season is, at the end of the season, we will be hoisting the trophy."

Despite what has been a rough history for the franchise, fans have stuck with their team, through and through. Ford Hamp made sure to thank season-ticket holders, who were in attendance for the new uniforms reveal.

“I want to thank our season ticket members, as you guys were amazing last season,” she said, per Brandon Carr and Mara MacDonald of ClickOnDetroit.com. “The support you showed our team and what you did for our whole organization was incredible. From the ‘Let’s go Lions, to the Jared Goff chants,’ we broke the decimal record for Ford Field for noise.”

This year's roster is one of the most talented the franchise has ever seen — and that's before general manager Brad Holmes bolsters it in the 2024 NFL Draft starting on April 25 — so the big expectations are certainly warranted.
