Heading into the 2024-25 season, the Denver Broncos were not expected to accomplish much. From moving on from Russell Wilson with his horrible contract and starting a rookie to having one of the youngest teams in the league, it did not look good for Broncos Country on paper.
Pair that with an 8.3% chance at making the playoffs, according to Fox Sports, and people truly have their opinions solidified. However, one such expert from the same company feels people are sleeping on the Broncos.
On the show "Good Morning Football', Senior National Writer for Fox Sports, Peter Schrager, predicted the seedings for the 2024 NFL Playoffs.
At the sixth spot was none other than the Denver Broncos.
Within the AFC itself, Schrager had the Broncos in the Wild Card seedings along with the Buffalo Bills and the Los Angeles Chargers.

While many people may view this as a hot take, it is reasonable. The AFC West is not as competitive as it used to be. Of course the Chiefs will be on top as long as Mahomes is at the helm. As for the Raiders and Chargers, while the Raiders defense is solid, their offensive depth chart is depleting with age. For the Chargers, Justin Herbert lost his main weapon in Keenan Allen and their passing defense ranked 30th in the NFL.
While the Broncos did not display much last season, they are entering this season with a brand new quarterback in Bo Nix and a full year under head coach Sean Payton.
The Broncos know people are doubting them, and they don't really have much to prove other than to improve from last season. Teams should not sleep on the Broncos, as they are hungry to compete and may surprise a ton of people.
