While addressing the media ahead of Denver Broncos training camp, head coach Sean Payton was quickly asked what he thought about the team being counted out this season. Broncos insider Mike Klis specifically asked his thoughts on the Broncos being given a win total of 5.5 wins.
Payton, who is entering his 18th season as an NFL head coach, didn't seem to get upset by the question, but he swept it away like it was nothing.

The response was one of the more noteworthy items of Payton's entire press conference.
Sean Payton doesn't care about predictions
Payton stated that his New Orleans Saints would not have reached the NFC Championship Game in 2006 if he worried about the outside talk. He also said it is just stuff to talk about "when the media stuff is quiet".
Payton does not seem bothered by the high number of analysts and outlets predicting the Broncos to be one of the worst teams in the league. He states that he expects the team to compete and he expects the team to win.
If this is to be believed, it does not sound like Payton will be using this for bulletin board material.
