Denver Broncos' quarterback Bo Nix is entering his first NFL season with a ton of pressure on his shoulders. Not only was Nix named starting quarterback as a rookie, but he was voted as team captain as well. While some people may not think he is ready, an NFL Hall of Famer thinks otherwise.

Quarterback of the Super Bowl 50 Denver Broncos team, as well as third all-time passing yards and passing touchdowns leader, Peyton Manning went on the 'Pat McAfee Show' to talk about his excitement for Bo Nix:

"[Nix] is 24-years-old, he is married, he has started over 60 games in college; that'll never happen again. So it is just a level or maturity there that you don't see in most rookies,' Manning said, "He will have rookie struggles because the game is that hard. But Sean Payton is smart enough to know you got to help with a good run game, got to get the ball out of his hands, [the team] has to play good defense".

Manning also highlighted that the captain vote is a player vote. In turn, veteran players saw that Nix had tremendous leadership skills and was able to rally the team together and, despite being a rookie, voted Nix as one of their team captains to lead the Broncos.

As Manning said, it will not be easy for Nix. While he is being awarded these things for his abilities and skill sets, Nix will have tough games and people will start to question and criticise him. It is extremely important for Nix to stay positive and rally around the team in order to focus on the main objective.

The first objective being the Seattle Seahawks, where the Broncos are on the road looking to capture their first victory of the season on Sunday, September 8 at 4:05 PM EST.
