With the No. 256 overall choice, the Denver Broncos have selected Nick Gargiulo, a center out of South Carolina. The Broncos now have four players who can play center on the roster, including Alex Forsyth, Sam Mustipher and Luke Wattenberg.

Gargiulo was a team captain at Yale before transferring to South Carolina where he snapped the ball to Spencer Rattler.

Gargiulo had a draftable grade with some analysts rating him early in round six, so for the Broncos to add him just moments before the draft was over has to be looked at as good value to cap off an excellent day for the team.

He has a chance to stick as a backup offensive lineman as he played all along the line in college and he shows consistency as both a run blocker and in pass protection. This was not a bad pick at all for where it was made.

Grade: B
