Since being released early in the 2023 season by the Denver Broncos, the career of Randy Gregory seems to be in a downward spiral. It was already tumultuous before he signed with the Broncos, but it could soon reach the point of no return.
The Broncos released Gregory after their Week 4 game last season, making him one of the worst free-agent signings in team history. He was picked up by the San Francisco 49ers and played with them for the rest of the season. This offseason, he signed a contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
To this point, Gregory has not reported to training camp and before that, also chose to skip out on mandatory minicamp workouts.
Randy Gregory has not reported for Buccaneers training camp
This is troubling news for Gregory, who also found himself in the news this offseason after filing a lawsuit against the league for discrimination, hoping to recoup money he has paid in fines over the years.
Currently, he is being fined daily for his absences at camp.
No Randy Gregory again today at Bucs training camp. He’s accruing $50,000 in fines each day missed, on top of $101k for missing minicamp, so already over $250,000.

By this time next week, he’ll owe more than the half-million in fines he’s suing the NFL trying to recover.
It remains to be seen if Gregory will ever play a down in Tampa Bay.
In addition to Gregory, former Broncos pass-rushers have been in the news of late as Shaq Barrett chose to retire from the game and Shane Ray, who hasn't played since 2018, signed with a new team.
Gregory played in a total of 10 games for the Broncos and had all of three sacks for the team. He signed a five-year, $70 million deal ahead of the 2022 season.
