The Denver Broncos will go into their Week 3 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers without rookie wide receiver Devaughn Vele for the second week in a row. Though Vele sat out Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers while dealing with an injury to his ribs, he was able to return to practice this week. The coaching staff felt he didn't get enough reps to return to the lineup and he is on the inactive list.
That means that fourth-round pick Troy Franklin will be active for the second week in a row. He is still looking for his first career reception.
The rest of the list of inactive players looks similar to what it has this season.

With JL Skinner out, the Broncos will need one of their reserve safeties Devon Key or Keidron Smith to step up, at least on special teams.
Lucas Krull is a healthy scratch again but if Greg Dulcich has another game like he did last week, that is a situation that must be reevaluated.

The Buccaneers are the 2-0 team going into this game but their inactive list contains some key players for their team. Could a big upset be brewing in Tampa?
The Broncos have only lost one time ever in Tampa Bay and that was 25 years ago. Kickoff is set for 11:00 am MT and the game will be televised on FOX.
