Denver Broncos: Top 10 Day 2 NFL Draft prospects to consider image

What will the Denver Broncos do on Day 2 of the 2024 NFL Draft? The team has its quarterback after drafting Bo Nix and will look to fill other holes starting Friday night.

It is important to remember that the Broncos will not pick again until No. 76 unless the team decides to make a move to get up higher on the board. While this list is considered to be the "best" prospects for the team to consider, it is also a realistic list of players who could still be available when they pick next.

Denver Broncos top Day 2 NFL Draft prospects

The Broncos have needs at several key positions. Defensive line, Edge rusher, wide receiver and cornerback are the spots they need to look to fill with premium players.

Kris Jenkins, DT, Michigan

Kris Jenkins comes from the team that won the national championship and had one of the best defenses in college football last year. His father, Kris, also played in the NFL and was a four-time Pro Bowler. He is an incredibly strong force in the middle of a defensive front and will come in as a team's primary run-stopper, able to bring something as a pass-rusher as well.

Malachi Corley, WR, Western Kentucky

The Broncos can use another weapon in the passing game and Malachi Corley offers a ton of upside. He caught 253 passes for nearly 3,000 yards and 16 touchdowns in the past three seasons with the Hilltoppers. He is a dynamic slot receiver who will blow through defenses on quick-hit passes. What did Nix specialize at in college? Just that.

Chris Braswell, Edge, Alabama

It would have been nice to see the Broncos trade back in the first round and be able to add a guy like Laiatu Latu, but with that idea off the board, the team still needs more in the way of pass-rush help. Chris Braswell had eight sacks for the Crimson Tide last season.

Kamari Lassiter, CB, Georgia

Kamari Lassiter is a name you have seen start to rise up the big board in this process. After three seasons at one of college football's premier programs, he comes with some terrific on-field experience. He is a tough cornerback who can get physical at the right time. He could be a great addition to a secondary where opportunity exists.

Ruke Orhorhoro, DT, Clemson

The Broncos need much more depth on the defensive line, it may be the weakest position group on the team. Ruke Orhorhoro began to flash at Clemson last season and would be an ideal third-round selection.

Troy Franklin, WR, Oregon

Another former Oregon Duck? This one makes almost too much sense. Troy Franklin has elite speed and can be a high-end WR2 or even develop into the No. 1 guy on a team down the road. With the questions surrounding Courtland Sutton, this would be a solid addition.

Jalyx Hunt, EDGE, Houston Christian

Small-school prospect but there are countless stories of those players becoming some of the biggest steals in the draft. Jalyx Hunt could be a real wild-card addition as his untapped potential is tantalizing.

Max Melton, CB, Rutgers

A cornerback who can line up on the outside or in the slot, Max Melton is a scrappy player who makes plays when plays need to be made. He had eight interceptions in his career for the Scarlet Knights and is strong against the run. This is the kind of player the Broncos' defense needs more of.

T'Vondre Sweat, DT, Texas

T'Vondre Sweat hurt his overall draft stock with a recent DWI arrest but the talent is still there and if the Broncos have a chance to take him, it should be considered. As a bonus selection, Maason Smith, a defensive tackle out of LSU who worked with Broncos defensive line coach Jamar Cain is another guy who could be a big addition to the defensive line group.
