Following the NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos signed Air Force linebacker Alec Mock as an undrafted free agent. Since then, they have released him twice and signed him three times. On Wednesday, the team brought him back... again.
The Broncos waived Mock after claiming Kaleb Hayes on waivers and now that Mock has cleared waivers, he has been brought back as the team has chosen to move on from another undrafted player, Jaylon Allen.
OLB Jaylon Allen, who received $10k sign bonus and $120k guarantee from Broncos as undrafted rookie, suffered what should be a two-week ankle injury at Indy. Off to rehab in Houston and a strong candidate for Broncos practice squad. #9sports https://t.co/6vQS0XHFqY

Allen was one of the top signings in this year's undrafted class but suffered an ankle injury in the preseason opener against the Indianapolis Colts. The Broncos waived him with an injury settlement and once back to 100 percent, he could be brought back to the practice squad.
Alec Mock back for a third stint with Broncos
Mock has already been released twice, so the odds are working against him when it comes to making the roster. He only saw 12 snaps against the Colts so he is going to have to make the most of every rep he gets the rest of the way.
Looking at it as a glass-half-full situation, the fact that the Broncos continue to turn back to Mock could be encouraging. They are willing to give him a further look.
Mock will need to make an impression on special teams as the inside linebacker position will likely be tough to crack into at this point.
Mock had 224 tackles, five sacks and one interception during his college playing career.
