The Denver Broncos drafted Jerry Jeudy with the No. 15 overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft. It never worked out for either side, and that's about the nicest way to put it.
This offseason, the Broncos sent Jeudy to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for a fifth-round pick and a sixth-round pick in the draft. Most are going to look at that as a raw deal. How can a young wide receiver in the prime of his career who was drafted in the first round only fetch that kind of return?
Well, that's when you need to look deeper into the situation. In handing out updated grades for a handful of offseason moves, Bleacher Report's Alex Ballentine seems to only be looking at things on the surface level when he gives the Broncos a C while handing the Browns an A-.
The Broncos did great in moving on from Jerry Jeudy
As Ballentine points out, the Broncos did not get much in return. It's also true that the team should have moved him ahead of last season's trade deadline when it could have gotten more for him.
But Jeudy was a terrible Denver Bronco and trading him was the only option. Ballentine mentions that the Broncos chose Courtland Sutton over him and even if that were true (it's not), it would be the right choice.
Jeudy was average at best on the field and you can blame that on bad quarterback play if you like, but those who have been covering him since he joined the Broncos have noticed a me-first player with a poor attitude which was evidenced by his arguing with Broncos of the past such as Rod Smith, Phillip Lindsay and Mark Schlereth on Twitter last season.
He also drew the ire of legendary receiver Steve Smith.

This was the moment he was done in Denver, at least for me.
Perhaps a change of scenery will do Jeudy some good but rest assured that the Denver Broncos are much better without him.
