The Denver Broncos have been on a bit of a roller coaster this offseason with their star wide receiver, Courtland Sutton.
Sutton is looking for a new deal before the 2024 season kicks off. He is not looking for something exorbitant, but he does want a bit of a bump in pay. The Broncos have yet to give in to that request as they have financial strains of their own following the Russell Wilson contract situation.
Sutton did not show up for the team's voluntary OTAs but he did report for the team's mandatory minicamp, which was a good sign. Still, Sutton would not rule out holding out of training camp when asked about it last month.
However, the team may have gotten a good sign in regards to that on Tuesday.
Courtland Sutton takes part in team throwing sessions
As reported by Broncos insider Mike Klis, the team is holding some private workouts in Texas at TCU. Jarrett Stidham set up the workouts, which include some throwing sessions. Sutton is taking part in these.

This may seem like a non-story to some, but it can be seen as a big story for others. Since it is not organized by the team, it's a voluntary, almost leisurely thing for Sutton to take part in. But the fact that he is there shows a commitment to bonding with his teammates.
This is a good sign and with training camp opening in just over two weeks, it could mean that Sutton wants to keep the momentum going and report for training camp on time and ready to start practicing. Truthfully, nothing will help him get the money he is looking for any better than doing just that.
