After just visiting with the New Orleans Saints, four-time Pro Bowl safety Justin Simmons is set to meet another rival team within the NFC South.
Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Atlanta Falcons are looking to meet with and potentially add the veteran safety as they face a multitude of injuries at the position.
Simmons, who was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the third round of the 2016 draft, has played all eight of his professional seasons with Broncos Country, totaling 118 games with 30 interceptions and five forced fumbles.
With the Atlanta Falcons already having the likes of Jessie Bates III at safety and A.J. Terrell at corner, the Falcons could possibly be an appealing landing zone for the ex-Broncos safety.
Simmons’ visit will last a total of two-days, starting today on August 12 and into Tuesday, August 13.
In the meantime, as the Broncos look to continue their preseason success as the only undefeated team in the AFC West, they look to host the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, August 18 at 8:00 PM EST or on NFL Network and NFL +.
The #Falcons are hosting Pro Bowl FA safety Justin Simmons on a visit today and tomorrow, sources say. Atlanta was hit with injuries at the position, and Simmons is a potential answer.
