Travis Hunter, arguably the best player in college football and one of the top candidates to win the Heisman Trophy this year, has publicly stated that he wants to stay in Colorado and play for the Denver Broncos. How much fun would that be?
There are so many things that still have to happen between the college football season and the NFL season ahead of next April's 2025 NFL Draft, but hearing Hunter say this should make every Broncos fan happy.

Hunter figures to be one of the top picks in next year's draft, so the Broncos would either have to have one of those top picks (which would mean a bad remainder of this season) or they would have to trade into one of those spots to bring Hunter to Denver.
If by some chance it happened, the Broncos would be getting an incredibly skilled player, one who can play both sides of the ball.
Travis Hunter is a top contender for the Heisman Trophy
Hunter has caught 46 passes for 561 yards and six touchdowns in five games for the Colorado Buffaloes this season. But he's also one of the best defensive backs in the country and he hardly ever takes a play off. On that side of the ball, he has two interceptions and a massive forced fumble at the goal line that preserved a win over Colorado State.
By any metric, he should be a strong candidate, if not the frontrunner to win the Heisman Trophy. Of course, Colorado's win-loss record at the end of the season could have a lot to do with how he finishes in that race.
But if he somehow ended up in orange and blue next season, regardless of the circumstances that happened under, the Broncos would be getting one of the most talented overall players we have seen in quite some time.
