The NFL Draft is fast approaching and there are a lot of storylines surrounding the prospects in the 2024 class. One of the more intriguing angles is focused on prospects with famous fathers. Marvin Harrison Jr. is set to be selected in the top five and Jeremiah Trotter Jr. is a likely day two selection.
The latter sat down with his father Jeremiah Trotter Sr. to do an interview with NBC Sports Philadelphia's John Clark and the topic came up about potentially being drafted by the Dallas Cowboys. Needless to say, that didn't sit well.
“I told him, I can’t wear that jersey," said Trotter Sr. "I can’t put on a Dallas jersey. I just can’t do it.”
It shouldn't come as a surprise that Trotter, who played for the Philadelphia Eagles for eight seasons in three stints with a two-year stretch playing for the Washington Commanders, couldn't put on a Cowboys jersey.
During his time in Philadelphia, Trotter made two All-Pro teams and four Pro Bowl teams after being selected as a third-round pick in the 1998 NFL Draft. His son will have a chance to best his father if he goes higher than the 72nd overall pick in April's annual selection meeting.
